Gregory Joseph Miller 1969-2019 MEMORIAL SERVICE at Oroville Seventh-day Adventist Church on May 4, 2019 at 1:30 pm, at 1180 Robinson St, Oroville CA 95965 Greg Miller was born to Dr. Joseph A. and Ardene Miller in Santa Cruz, California on Dec 15, 1969, the youngest of five children and the only son. He lived with his family in Santa Cruz until they moved to Berry Creek, CA in 1976, where he attended the Berry Creek School and then Paradise Adventist School. He then attended Atlantic Union College’s Secondary School in Lancaster, Mass.

He graduated from Atlantic Union College with 3 majors: Music Performance on Viola, Music Education, and Elementary Education. While attending school in Massachusetts he played viola in the New England Youth Ensemble, an orchestra that traveled extensively with to Europe, Australia, South Africa, besides the U.S. and Caribbean Islands. After graduation, Greg taught 2 years at Chico Oaks Adventist School in Chico, CA, before returning to Massachusetts to obtain his Master’s Degree in Education.

He then taught several years there, before returning to California after his father’s death. Greg then earned a four year degree in Acupuncture in San Francisco, while looking after his widowed mother. He then postponed his career to care for his mother at her home in Berry Creek, until he passed on April 18, 2019 of unknown causes.

Greg is survived by his mother Ardene Hedwig Barker Miller of Berry Creek, CA; three sisters, Stephanie Miller Lacy of Visalia, CA, Jocelyn Miller McKee of Fairfield, CA, and Shana Miller Willett of West Richland, WA; two uncles; an aunt, and six cousins. Greg was preceded in death by his father Dr. Joseph A. Miller and Greg’s sister Meredy Marie Miller. Meredy is interred in Santa Cruz, CA at Oakwood Memorial Park, along with Greg’s maternal grandparents, Walter Stephen Barker and Olga Hedwig Blatt Barker, where also Greg, his father and eventually his mother will be interred.
