Obituary for Guylena Hrdlicka Guylena Hrdlicka, age 95, died of natural causes on September 12, 2018, in Fenton, Missouri. Beloved Mother of Regina (Kent) Duff, Judy Hrdlicka (Dan Bartel), Janet (Philip) Patrick, Joyce Perkins (Mark Hoelscher), and Jo Anne (Sid) Pollard. Dearest Grandmother of Amy (Rob) Wood, Kent Duff, Jr, Jennifer Perkins (Jeff Headrick), Laura (Tom) Minda, Phillip Patrick, Jr (Kaitlyn McNamara), Thomas Patrick, and Mathew Pollard.

Cherished Great Grandmother of Janey, Taylor, Leo, Ethan, Evelyn, Owen, Madison, Calley, and Ariana. In addition to her loving husband Edward Hrdlicka, she was also preceded in death by her grandsons Joseph Perkins and Daniel Hickey. Guylena was born on August 27, 1923 in Piedmont, Missouri, to parents Guy and Opal Skiles.

She was one of 8 children: Pansy, Morgan, Opal, Dorothy, Guy, Charles, and Mary. She married Edward Joseph Hrdlicka at St. Paul Church in Fenton, Missouri and the couple had 5 beautiful daughters together. Guylena was a social woman who dedicated most of her life to her family.

She enjoyed Cardinals baseball, working puzzle books, and sharing her wonderful life stories. Her family and friends will always remember her for having an open door and some “mostaccioli in the fridge”. A memorial is scheduled for September 30, 2018 from 2pm to 4pm.

Internment of ashes will be October 1, 2018 at 10am at Jefferson Barracks. Donations in her name can be sent to the Salvation Army. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Guylena Hrdlicka please visit our Sympathy Store.
