Obituary for Gypsy Marilyn Callahan Gypsy Marilyn Rose Callahan, age 76, of Taylorsville left this world for her heavenly home on Wednesday, December 5, 2018. She was born on October 12, 1942, the daughter of the late Doyle and Mildred Hooper Dills. During her career she worked as a sewer at Royal Comfort for almost 30 years.

She was a faithful member of Antioch Baptist Church and of the Faithful Ones Sunday School Class. Gypsy enjoyed just getting out and going, especially to the mountains to watch the leaves change. She also liked going to the antique car shows.

Gypsy was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to all. She will truly be missed but will forever be in our hearts. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 39 years Tommy Callahan and brother Louis Rose.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children Pam (Tony) Teague, Tammie Rose, and Tommy Callahan, all of Taylorsville; grandchildren Jeremiah Godfrey of Hickory, Timothy Gathers, Jr. of Taylorsville, Susan (Jason) Beck of Cherokee, and Tiffany Fie of Lincolnton; great-grandchildren Zechariah Sandlin, Katlyn Creson, Scarlett Rose (who is on the way), Ella Ziegler, Ari Godfrey, Copelyn Beck, Emberlyn Beck, and Brandon Teague; brother Keith Rose of Knoxville, TN; sister-in-law Shirley Rose; along with nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 7, 2018 from 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm at Antioch Baptist Church. A memorial service to celebrate her life will follow at 6:00 pm with the Rev.
