Obituary for Harold “Hermie” Jordan Harold B. “Hermie” Jordan, age 93 of Wahoo, died Tuesday, July 17, 2018 in Wahoo. He was born at Ithaca, NE to Herman and Gertrude (Hageman) Jordan. On April 3, 1947 he married Darlene Lee in Papillion, Nebraska.

Hermie owned and operated Jordan Plumbing and Heating in downtown Wahoo for many years. He worked throughout Saunders County and was well-known for his sheet metal work. Hermie served with the Wahoo Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department as a firefighter and EMT from 1957 to 1988.

He served as Fire Chief from 1969 to 1979, and he was proud to have been Chief for the Department’s 100th Anniversary. Hermie was a long-time member of Wahoo First United Methodist Church where he served on various boards and committees. He also belonged to the Eagle’s Club.

Hermie loved to fish and looked forward to his fishing trips to Minnesota with his son, Terry. He taught all his children to fish and created many cherished memories with his family fishing and relaxing at the lake. He is survived by his wife Darlene of Wahoo; daughters Linda Jordan of Wahoo, Shelley (Charman) Harrington of Madison, SD, Jackie Anderson of Wahoo; son Terry (Marilyn) Jordan of Lenexa, KS; grandchildren Todd Jordan, Jenny Jordan, Zachary (Nicole) Anderson, Grant (Shawna) Anderson, Alyssa Harrington; great-grandchildren Braelyn Anderson, Mason Anderson; sister Lois Heldt of Yutan; brother Cecil “Dave Jordan of Springfield, MO; sisters-in-law Jean Stange of Yutan, Connie Jordan of Nixa, MO; many nieces and nephews.

Hermie was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Fred, Harvey, and Wilbur Jordan; sisters Mildred Keane and Ruby Krakowski. Memorials may be given for Wahoo Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department or First United Methodist Church Music Program. Casket bearers will be Grant Anderson, Zachary Anderson, Todd Jordan, Larry Stuchlik, Ed Brouillette, and Tyler Bonnicksen.
