Harold J. Jewell, 83, of Newton Falls, passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at University Hospital Portage Medical Center. He was born the son of Ora and Pearl (Jewell) Jewell on April 17, 1935 in Newton Falls. Harold was a 1955 graduate of Newton Falls High School.

On August 29, 1955 in Harrisville, WV, Harold was united in marriage with Virginia Shreve and shared 63 blissful years together. He was employed and retired from Republic Steel. Harold was a member of the Windham Church of Christ.

He was also a member of the NRA. Harold enjoyed movies, reading, and hunting. Cherished memories of Harold will be carried on by his loving wife Virginia, and sons Staley (Dot) and Tim (Kathy) Jewell all of Newton Falls.

Harold was preceded in death by his sister Mary Ann Brumley. Private family calling hours will be held on Monday December 3. Interment will be at Newton Township Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Bernard P. Borowski Memorial Home in Newton Falls.
