Harold R. “Willie” Wilhide, Jr. June 19, 1958 – May 01, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Harold R. “Willie” Wilhide, Jr. 60, of Martinsburg died Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at his residence under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle. Born June 19, 1958 in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. He was the son of the late Harold R. “Willie” Wilhide and Rose Marie (Shinham) Wilhide.

Mr. Wilhide, Jr. was a plumber for 36 years having been employed last with Phoenix Plumbing of Chantilly, Virginia for 25 years. He was of the Catholic Faith. He graduated from Jefferson High School, class of 1976, where he played Baseball and Basketball.

Harold grew up on Church Street in Charles Town where he played Little League and Pony League Baseball, Basketball, Tennis at Jefferson Memorial Park. He enjoyed Duckpin Bowling in Martinsburg and Brunswick, Maryland. He Played and Coached Slow Pitch Softball in Martinsburg and Charles Town.

He loved to hunt and fish, enjoyed to garden flowers with Connie. He liked to have parties cookouts with family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Connie (Webb) Wilhide, at home; step-son, Dewayne Ainsworth and wife Shameka, of Martinsburg; grandchildren, Javan Ainsworth and Dontrez Yates.

A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, May 6, 2019 at the Edge Hill Cemetery, Charles Town with Father Manuel Gelido officiating. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Jefferson Memorial Park, PO Box 165, Charles Town, WV 25414.
