Misenhelder, 84, of Martins Ferry, OH died Sunday, December 23, 2018 at Metro Health Medical Center, Cleveland, OH. He was born June, 2, 1934 in Martins Ferry, a son of the late Francis W. and Essie May (Cannon) Misenhelder. Harold retired after 43 years from the Yorkville Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Co

He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Martins Ferry a U.S. Marine veteran of the Korean War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Margaret A. (Burkhart) Misenhelder, two sons; Mark A. Misenhelder and Robert Roy Misenhelder, siblings; Jack J., Francis E., George H. and Charles W. Misenhelder, Sally Williamson, JoAnn Bauknecht, Ellen Goodwin, Clara Pritchard, and Wanda Griswold . Surviving are his children; Dwayne A. Misenhelder of Cleveland, OH, Kimberly A. (Jim) Hickenbottom of Woodsfield, OH and Sharon L. (Micah) Lipford of Akron, OH, grandchildren; Dominick (Christy Fe) Wilson, Charlotte (Glyn) Sable, McKenzie and Jessica Shrader and great grandchildren; Gavyn , Kadence, and coming in February, Nikita.

Family and friends will be received at Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH, Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where services will be held Friday, December 28, 2018 at 12:00 pm with Dwayne A. Misenhelder officiating. Military Honors will be presented by the Belmont County Veterans Association, Friday at 11:15 a.m. in the funeral home. Condolences to the family may be made by signing the guest book at the top of this posting.
