Harold Warren “Stink” Pierson, 79, of Laurinburg, passed away Friday, January 11, 2019 at his residence. A memorial service will be 2:00 pm. Monday, January 14, 2019 at St. Luke United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev.

Billy Olson. Born September 29, 1939 in Scotland County, he was the son of the late James Ashley and Evvie Hudson Pierson. Mr. Pierson was a member of St. Luke Methodist Church and served in the United States National Guard.

He worked for Meritor for 15 years. He is survived by his two daughters, Sheila Stanton and her husband, Tim of Holly Springs, NC and Kellie Jackson and her husband, Jeff of Laurinburg; four grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and Rooster is loyal pet and was his world. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Sandra R Pierson and his brother, Ashley Pierson.

The family will receive friends Sunday, January 13, 2018 at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to St. Luke United Methodist Church, 1501 Turnpike Road, Laurinburg, NC 28352.
