Schepers passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at the age of 74. Born to Frank and Miriam Jagunich, Jr in Eveleth Minnesota, Harriet brought passion, love and light to her parents, her brother and her sisters as well as her community. Harriet graduated from Cherry High School and the University of Minnesota, Duluth with a bachelor degree in music and English.

Upon marrying her husband, Joe Schepers in 1984, her family expanded as she loved each cousin, aunt, niece and nephew with her entire being endeavoring to support every dream. She spent many years working tirelessly for the Minnesota Veterans Home in Minneapolis to make life brighter for others facing difficulty and always putting others needs before her own – even in retirement. Remembered for her big heart and gritty strength, born on the Iron Range, and an angelic voice that sang to the heavens, Harriet’s laugh will be missed greatly as her joyful soul filled any room with music.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Joe, her mother, Miriam, her sisters, Mary (Steve) Keto, and Frances (Lee) Faust, her beloved nieces and nephews and extended family. She is preceded in death by her father, Frank Jagunich, Jr, her brother and sister-in-law Frank and Theresa Jagunich. Mass of the Christian Burial is Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 11:00am at Transfiguration Catholic Church, 6135 15th Street North, Oakdale, Minnesota 55128.

Visitation will be at 10:00am until the Mass. Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
