OBITUARY HARRIET L O’NEILL May 26, 1935 – October 19, 2018 Harriet L. O’Neill, age 83, of Bartonville, passed away Friday, Oct. 19, 2018 at 3:01 p.m. at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born May 26, 1935 in Peoria to William H. and Charlotte (McCann) King.

She married Thomas H. O’Neill, Jr on June 28, 1952 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Peoria. He proceeded her on Nov. 8, 2003 in Peoria; along with her parents and one brother, Roger.

Surviving are her five children: Thomas III (Geri) O’Neill, Karen (Alan) McCloud, Kathleen (Mike) Dudley, Steve (Debbie) O’Neill, and John O’Neill, all of the Peoria area. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren: Thomas IV and Andy O’Neill, Jennifer and Jimmy Marrs, Katie Fehl, Kim Maroon, Patrick, Michael, Anne Marie, and Tristin O’Neill, two step granddaughters, Michelle Dudley and Jennifer Simonich, as well as Nana to 13 great-grandchildren, her sister Janet Russell of Brimfield, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Harriet was a dedicated homemaker and mother, working part-time, in the 1980’s at the Illini Bluffs school district cafeteria.

Family was important to Harriet and she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, including weekly family dinners. She participated with the Peoria Southside Bums, Peoria Fire Department retirees/widows, and Knights of Columbus #4333 55+ Club. Visitation will be Monday, Oct.

22, 2018 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. A funeral mass will be Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2018 at 10 a.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 1010 S. Louisa Street, Peoria, of which she was a member, Fr.

Don Rushuski officiating. Additional visitation will be Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria.
