Harriet Dean Squires LeMoine, age 97, of Hastings, MN, formerly of Oconomowoc, WI died Feb. 28, 2019 after a long and full life. She was born January 29, 1922 in Arlington, MA to Harry Newell and Elbra Madeline (Dean) Squires.

She grew up in Winchester, MA and spent her summers in Holderness, NH. After graduating from high school, she attended Connecticut College and received her BA in early childhood development. She lived in many different states before moving to Oconomowoc, WI in 1956 and was a member of the Good Shepherd Methodist church.

She taught nursery school at the Oconomowoc Nursery School for many years and then became a Headstart pre-school teacher. She moved to Hastings, MN in June of 2011 to be near her daughter. She enjoyed knitting, reading, hiking and traveling.

She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and the Mayflower Society. She was very proud of the fact that eight of her ancestors came over on the Mayflower. She married Raymond Thomas Heizer Jr, of Covington, KY in Oct.

1943. They were divorced in 1965. She was married to Ellis Schultz, of Milwaukee, WI, in Feb.

1976 until his death in Oct. 1981. In Jan.

1989 she was married to Ken LeMoine, of Oconomowoc, WI until his death in Dec. 2005. She is survived by her daughter, Joanne D. (Mark) Hetzel of Hastings, MN; her daughter-in-law, Hannelore Heizer, of Walnut Creek, CA; her daughter-in-law, Brenda Heizer of Eau Claire, WI; and her brother, Dr. Newell Dean Squires of Walpole, MA.

She has three grandsons, Charlie, Peter and Chris Heizer and four granddaughters, Hanne Hetzel Reiger, Heather Hetzel Arneson, Suzanne Heizer Needham and Katelynn Heizer; and six great-grandsons and two great-granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Raymond (Ray) Thomas Heizer, lll; her son, Theodore (Ted) Squires Heizer; and her husbands, Ellis Schultz and Ken LeMoine. A memorial service will be held at the Regina Chapel in Hastings, MN on March 16, 2019 at 11am with a visitation one hour prior.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Ft. Snelling DAR Chapter, The Nature Conservancy and the Cancer Society. She will be buried at Lakeside Cemetery in Hastings, MN.
