Harry’s Obituary Harry Charles Anthony, 92, of Hagerstown and most recently a resident of Greenfield Senior Living, passed away, Sunday, December 23, 2018, at Doey’s House, Hagerstown. Born October 27, 1926 in Hagerstown he was the son of the late, Paul Edwin and Ada (Schnebly) Anthony. In addition to his parents he also was preceded in death by his loving wife, Margaret Alegra (King) Anthony and three siblings, Edwin Anthony, Nancy Myers and Eileen Angle.

Mr. Anthony was a life long member of the Hagerstown Church of the Brethren, Hagerstown. He retired from Brandt Cabinet Works, Hagerstown as a paint finisher. Mr. Anthony is survived by one son, David H. Anthony and wife Debra; one daughter, Theresa Messer and husband, Larry; four grandchildren, Brent Anthony and wife, Elizabeth, Allison Appenzellar and husband, Michael, Scott Anthony and Aaron Messer; five great grandchildren, Taylor “Peanut” Appenzellar, Gage Appenzellar, Peyton Appenzellar, Braxton Anthony and Baxter Anthony and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the Hagerstown Church of the Brethren, 15 S. Mulberry St., Hagerstown with Audrey and Tim Hollenberg-Duffey officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 28th from 6-8 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave.

, Hagerstown. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Harry’s name to Hagerstown Church of the Brethren, 15 S. Mulberry St., Hagerstown, MD 21740 or to Hospice of Washington County (Doey’s House), 747 Northern Ave. , Hagerstown ,MD 21742.
