Harry Hall Scheid passed in peace Wednesday, May 7, 2019 at the age of 87. Survived by his wife, Margaret, married 64 years, his five children, Russell, Beth, Greg, Amy and Mary along with 14 grandchildren and 12 1/2 great-grandchildren. Harry was born October 2, 1931 in Miami, Arizona.

He graduated from San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. He was drafted into the U.S. Army, however, committed to the United States Marine Corp. He was a Master Sergeant serving 3 1/2 years during the Korean conflict in the air sea rescue.

He loved his helicopter. He loved woodworking and hunting. He was amazing at restoring furniture however not so accurate on the shooting.

Despite his sarcasm, he loved everyone, mentoring and fathering even those that were not his own. And nicknames were not always politically correct. Family, friends and others whose lives Harry touched are invited to the service at Meldrum Mortuary, 52 N. Macdonald, Mesa, Arizona on May 18th, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. The family would like to express our heartfelt thanks for the wonderful help and care given by Hospice of the Valley and Home Instead Senior Care.
