Harry “Sonny”‘s Obituary Harry “Sonny” Caston October 11, 1931-March 25, 2019 Sandy Creek, NY Formerly of Newburgh, NY Harry Floyd Caston, 87 of Sandy Creek, NY, entered into rest on March 25, 2019. He was born October 11, 1931 in Gardiner, NY to the late Floyd and Marion (Fox) Caston. He was married to the late Elizabeth Pettine.

Harry served in the Army during the Korean War receiving multiple service medals and commendations. He worked as a contractor with his own business, H. Caston Construction in Newburgh, NY. Harry was also a member of the American Legion in Sandy Creek, NY, and enjoyed shuffle board, in fact was even a captain.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Harry is survived by his loving spouse, Antonina W. Caston; his children Michael Pettine of Miami FL, Jeffrey Caston and wife Kathleen of Poughkeepsie, NY, Theresa Gualtieri and husband Robert of Vista CA, Cindy Caston of Miami FL, Hunter Caston of New Windsor, NY, Matthew Caston of Poughkeepsie, NY, and step-son Fredric Gibney and wife Angela of Littleton, MA; his siblings, Raymond Caston and wife Shirley, Dorothy Rose and her late husband Jim, and Georgia Lee Baird and husband Jack; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife he was pre-deceased by siblings, Arthur Caston, Carolyn Canfield, Delores Lukach; and children, Harry F. Caston Jr., Lisa M. Navaretta, and Heidi Caston.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 30th at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave. , Newburgh, NY from 10am- 11:30am, with a service at 11:30am. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newburgh, NY.
