Harshad Jashbhai Patel was born to Jashbhai and Santhaben Patel in 1955. He was the third of four siblings, two brothers and one sister and they were raised in Sojitra, Gujarat, India. Harshad came to the United States in 1983 and in 1984, he married Bhavana Patel and together raised three daughters, Puja, Arti, and Shivani.

Harshad owned and operated businesses to support his family and when he was not working, he enjoyed spending time with his family and his grandchildren. He was known for his amazing sense of humor and his contagious laughter among his family and friends. His beautiful life will forever be cherished by his wife, Bhavana, sister-in law Kalpana , his 3 children, his grandchildren Arya, Maya, and Elijah Jr., and his brother Jayesh.

A private cremation ceremony is being held on Thursday, May 16th, 2019 and a prayer for his close family and friends at the local temple on Saturday, May 18th. In lieu of flowers, please send any charitable contribution to the Shirdi Sai Center of Texas.
