Obituary for Harvey Ahia Keahiolalo Harvey Ahia Keahiolalo, 74, of Waimanalo, passed away at home on May 25, 2018, surrounded by his family. He was born October 19, 1943 in Honolulu to parents Isaia and Bertha (Kamakea) Keahiolalo and was the 7th of 9 children. He was raised in Kalihi and attended Farrington High School.

After graduation, he began a career with Gannett Hawaii Newspaper Agency that would continue for more than 30 years, and retired as the mailroom supervisor. The people who worked for him said that he was the best boss anyone could ever have. He enjoyed staying active by playing sports such as baseball, volleyball, basketball, but his most favorite sport was bowling.

Harvey met the love of his life, Noreen Hiram Iopa, who stole his heart, and they were married on May 9, 1964. In 2018, they celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary! She was his love, his life and his world.

They bought a home in Waimanalo where they raised their family of children and grandchildren. Harvey was a quiet, gentle and noble giant with a giving heart. Two of his most important values were his family and work ethic.

He learned at a very young age that, if you work hard, you can achieve your goals. He was diligent and dedicated to whatever he committed himself to. His most famous line was, “Somebody’s gotta do it”, and he always did it no matter how tired he was or how difficult the task.

Harvey always got it done! He will be missed and forever remembered and loved. May he rest in love and peace.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Isaac Keahiolalo and Mike Ioane; sisters, Justine Massoni and Shirley Estabilio. He is survived by wife, Noreen Keahiolalo; son, Keola (Joey) Keahiolalo; daughters, Kawai and Kimela (Chelsie) Keahiolalo and Sherrie Estabilio; brother, Ted (Sharon) Keahiolalo; sisters, Jean Opiopio, Myrna Ioane and Claudia Berrios; grandchildren, Kana’i (Kendra) Keahiolalo, Caitlynn (Brandon) Knull, Evan and Emma Keahiolalo, Briana Keahiolalo; many hanai daughters and sons, nieces, nephews and cousins. A CELEBRATION OF LIFE WILL BE HELD ON THURSDAY, JUNE 21, 2018, AT HAWAIIAN MEMORIAL PARK MORTUARY.
