Obituary for Hazel L. Quinn Hazel L. (Moff) Quinn, 84, of Canton died on October 5, 2015 at 12:15 a.m. at The Landing of Canton. She was born on July 18, 1931 in Atwater, and lived in Alliance most of her life and was a member of Salem Friends Church and their choir. Hazel was a graduate of Atwater High School.

She earned her Bachelor of Science Education and Master of Science Education Degrees from Kent State University. She retired from the Alliance School System, where she was employed as a high school, junior high and elementary teacher. Mrs. Quinn loved volunteering at Salem Community Hospital.

She is survived by her two daughters, Kathy Smith of Hilton Head, SC and Rose (Dave) Barker of Canton; grandchildren, Jeffrey Quinn, Jason Quinn, Aaron Barker, Andrew Barker, Jennifer (Smith) Bilcze, Kelly (Smith) Chandler and Brian Smith; three great-grandsons; two sisters, Helen Miller and Leah Jenkins; a brother Allen Moff; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, William D. Quinn, on April 25, 1995, whom she married on December 24, 1948; two sons William R. Quinn and Kim A. Quinn; her parents, Russell and Carrie (Burkey) Moff; a sister, Dottie Ranft; and her brother, Russell. The family will receive friends at Cornerstone Christian Church on Saturday, October 10, 2015 from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. Private family services will follow at 3:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Fairmount Memorial Park at a later date.
