Hazel Patricia Dees, 80, Lakeland, was welcomed into the kingdom of Heaven December 2nd, 2018. Hazel “H” was born June 25th, 1938 in Lakeland. She married her husband, Arthur Mae Dees, August 14th, 1953.

They had two daughters, Susan Patricia and Jennifer Diane, and lived in many cities and countries while Arthur was in the United States Air Force before settling back in Lakeland. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Arthur Mae Dees. She is survived by her brother James Slappey (Shirley) and sister Vivian Roberts (Barry), two daughters, Susan Shirah (Ricky) and Jennifer Lipham (Avery).

Her six grandchildren Melanie Macklin (Jason), Joshua Lipham (Mandy), Christie Shenefield (Jeff), Jacob Shirah (Amanda), Jeremy Shirah and Jessica Schwartz (Andrew). Also, her seven great-grandchildren; Nicholas, Dylan, Jonathan, Carlie, Elliott, Casen, Macie and Kennedy. And last but not least, her yorkie, “Baby J”.

Public services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 6th, 2018 at Bethel Baptist Church in North Lakeland. A gravesite service and celebration of life will follow immediately. Online condolences may be left for the family at lanier.
