Helen A. (Przygoda) Lichacz, 99 years old, a lifelong resident of Taunton, MA died peacefully at Marion Manor in Taunton on Saturday, July 21, 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph B. Lichacz and the daughter of the late Aniela (Izdepska) and the late Joseph Przygoda. She was born in New Bedford and lived in Taunton from the age of 3 till her death.

Helen worked for 20 years at the Paul Dever State School. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Parish, the Holy Rosary Sodality, The American Polish Club, was on the board there and was the recipient of the Marian Medal in 2001. She was the loving mother of Linda Lineback of Carlisle, MA and Lori Davis of Hamilton Bermuda.

She also has 5 grandchildren, Eric Lineback of Dummerston, VT, Lauren Cavicchi of Arlington, MA, Lesley Shearer of Scardsale, NY, Lindsay Butterfield of Hamilton Bermuda and Logan Fox of Hamilton, Bermuda. She also leaves 6 great grandchildren; Ted, Phoebe and Hadley Shearer of Scarsdale, NY; Nate Cavicchi of Arlington, MA; Alina Lineback of Dummerston, Vt and Hayes Butterfield of Hamilton, Bermuda. She also leaves 2 sisters, Stephanie Slapik of Duxbury, MA and Amelia Drozdowski of Woonsocket, RI.

and two brothers, the late John and Walter Przygoda and sister of the late Ann Pasiuk. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was a friendly and outgoing person who is survived by many friends.

Everyone that knew her loved her. Helen’s funeral with visitation will begin on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 from 9:30 – 10:00 am, in the Sowiecki Funeral Home, 69 West Britannia Street (Handicap access is located on the left side of the funeral home) A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, in the Holy Rosary Church, 80 Bay Street, Taunton. Interment will be in Saint Joseph Cemetery.

Following the funeral, relatives and friends are cordially invited to join Helen’s family at the Chateau Restaurant, Bay Road, Norton.
