Helen D. Bartle passed away peacefully at The Williamsport Home on March 2, 2019, where she received excellent care from the entire staff for many years. Helen was born Feb. 21, 1947, to Robert N. and Mabel Q. Dennis in Wellsboro.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her former husband, Cameron “Buck” Bartle and a younger brother, Charles Frederick Dennis. Helen is survived by her son, TJ Bartle (Crystal); four grandchildren, Austin, Taylor, Braden and Cameron Bartle, all from Stony Fork, Pa. ; and a sister, Karen Mitchell (C.

Edward S.), of Williamsport. Helen graduated from Wellsboro-Charleston High School in 1965 and went on to work at the former Commonwealth Telephone Company in Wellsboro and Towanda for over 40 years, retiring in 2006. Helen was known for her love of all outdoor activities; shopping, gardening at her home, riding her horses and enjoying her various pets over the years.

She especially looked forward to spending time with her four grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, it would please Helen for you to directly bless or spend time with an individual battling the effects of ill health, whether monetarily with a donation to a charitable institution, or with a gift of time and talent. Her family will be honoring her wishes to observe a graveside memorial service at a later date at the convenience of the family.
