HERMITAGE-Helen F. Carlo, 92, formerly of Sharpsville passed away on Wednesday September 12, 2018 at Nugent’s CCRC in Hermitage following an extended illness. She was born in Farrell on August 8, 1926 the daughter of John and Anna (Andrak) Notar. Helen was a 1942 graduate of St. Ann’s High School and had spent the majority of her life as a devoted homemaker to her family.

She was a member of the former Sacred Heart Church in Sharon, had enjoyed walking and was a avid reader. Helen’s memory will live on through her son Gary J. Carlo and his wife Marsha of Hubbard, her grandson Tim Nestor of Canal Fulton, OH, and by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband Joseph Carlo, two brothers John and Michael Notar, and three sisters Anna Notar, Margaret Notar, and Mary Withersty.

According to Helen’s, wishes a private service will be held at the Sample-O’Donnell Funeral Home 555 East State Street Sharon, PA 16146 followed by internment at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Friends and family may view the obituary and send condolences at www. sampleodonnellfh.com.
