Obituary for Helen Irene Firenze Helen Firenze passed away peacefully on November 22, 2018 at the age of 91 at her home with her family by her side. She was born in San Jose, California to Sylvia and John Compton on October 13, 1927 and was one of 11 brothers and sisters. Helen married the love of her life, Jules Firenze, on May 14th 1950 in Carmel, California.

They moved to Menlo Park, California living next door to Jules’s mother and father and brother, John. They were blessed with 3 sons: Dennis, Donald and David. Jules’ work caused them to move to Fremont, Carmichael, Fresno, Sacramento and Walnut Creek over the years.

After retirement they moved to El Dorado Hills, California to be closer to their sons and grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death by her husband Jules who passed away in 2014. She is survived by her three sons Dennis, Donald and David and three grandchildren, Gina (Firenze) Kubasek, Christopher Firenze and Erica Firenze and one great grandchild Jules Firenze, son of Christopher and Lauren Firenze.

Helen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Family was very important to her; she, along with her husband Jules, organized family reunions with their brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews for many years. She lovingly quilted blankets for her sons and grandchildren and she was also an excellent cook and baker.

She was an avid golfer and tennis player. At the age of 76, she shot a hole in one, something she was very proud of. Family and Friends are in invited to attend a viewing and service at Green Valley Mortuary located at 3004 Alexandrite Drive, Rescue, CA 95672.
