Helen Joyce Mosher was born on July 27, 1923 to Albert and Carrie Heidelberger at Ortonville, MN and was their only child. Joyce was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Dumont, MN. She attended her early school years at District #55 near her home and later graduated from Wheaton High School in 1942.

Joyce’s mother passed away in 1939 when Joyce was only 16 years old. In 1944 she started work at the 1st State Bank in Wheaton. Joyce’s father passed away in 1950.

Joyce married Edward Mosher in 1953. With her marriage she became a mother of Ed’s daughter, Marcine Mosher. In 1966, Edward and Joyce purchased the First State Bank in Evansville.

Joyce worked with Ed at the bank for many years and they built a new bank during that time. Joyce was very involved in community work, serving at The Senior Center in Evansville through Meals on Wheels. She volunteered with Women’s groups and at Faith Lutheran Church.

She received an award from Douglas County for all of her volunteer work. Joyce was a very talented lady which was evident through her beautiful needlework and ceramics. She was a social person and thoroughly enjoyed playing cards with her many friends.

Joyce and Ed traveled many winters to Texas and stopped to visit with their family in Kansas on the way. She loved her family and thoroughly enjoyed her visits with them. Joyce is survived by her daughter, Marcine Farmer (Chris); Grandson, Michael Farmer (Reita), Granddaughter, Melissa Hopkins (Brad), and Great Grandchildren, Kayla, Alex and Tyler Farmer and Brandon Hopkins.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Carrie Heidelberger and her husband, Edward Mosher. Also surviving are cousins and friends of Joyce. Helen Joyce Mosher age 95 of Evansville died on Monday, September 10, 2018 at Bethany on the Lake in Alexandria.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2018 from 5-7 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 14, 2018 at 11 AM at Grace Lutheran Church in Brandon with a visitation for one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery in Wheaton, MN.
