Kay is preceded in death by her loving parents Edward and Helen Kessling, Uncle Fred “Timmy” Kessling, Aunt Mabel Miller, Dear Sister Emma Lee Neal, Sweet Brother Don (Peggy) Kessling, Nephew (more like Brother) Dennis Neal, Niece and confidant Sandy Neal. She is survived by her loving husband Mark Newton.

Her Dear Daughters Cassandra Stevens (Pedro) and Jessica Stephenson (Jeffy). Her Grandchildren who were her pride, Anthony (who named her “Maw”) (Jennifer), Jannah (who inherited her determination), Will, Dominic and Alessea. Her Great-Grandchildren Lyric, DeJuan, CJ, Jada and Dahlia.

Her Loving Brothers Paul Kessling (Bea) and John E Kessling (Barbara). Her Special Niece Karen Lawson who always took her out on the town and many more loving Nieces and Nephews and Friends. Kay loved to laugh and never held a grudge.

She was accepted to an office job with the FBI right out of high school but would count her greatest accomplishment as that of loving and raising her daughters. Kay had an unwavering faith that kept her strong. She would want to be remembered with more smiles than tears, and she would admonish all those that cherish her to Dance like nobody is watching, Love like you’ll never be hurt, Sing like nobody is listening and Live like it’s paradise on earth.
