Helen’s Obituary Helen Bishop Lang, age 88 of Columbus, passed away March 2, 2019 at OSU Wexner Medical Center. She was born June 30, 1930 in Wellston, Ohio to the late William and Edna Bishop. Helen attended Central High School.

Helen began work at Lazarus in the candy department. After high school she went to work as an IBM operator for Nationwide Insurance. Helen later went on to work for North American Aviation.

“Reading books on theology and gardening are my two favorite hobbies. We had a big backyard full of all kind of plants. The mottos made me aware of the importance of understanding ourselves and finding our own worth….

As the sign over the door of Central High School, “Know Yourself”, she said”. She is survived by her children Kourtney (David Herron) Kenzie, Daniel (Carmen) Lang, Michael (Ava) Lang, Mark Lang and Jeremy Lang; granddaughter Samantha Staton and great granddaughter Scout Staton. Friends may visit Friday from 5-7 PM at THE SPENCE-MILLER FUNERAL HOME 2697 Columbus Street Grove City, Ohio, where funeral will be held 10:00 AM Saturday.
