Helen Leibold, 90, of Elizabeth, died Friday, May 18, 2018, at home. Born March 11, 1928, in Duquesne, she was the daughter of the late Michael L. and Maria (Evano) Dojcak, and the wife for 61 years of the late Leroy Nicholas Leibold. Helen retired as a crossing guard in Elizabeth Township, with 42 years of service.

In her early years, she worked at Vienna Baking Co She was a member of St. Michael’s Orthodox Church. Helen loved to play bingo, dancing and listening to polkas.

She had a great sense of humor and always had a good joke to share. Helen is survived by her daughter, Mary Jane (Thomas) Kurta, of Elizabeth, granddaughter, Tammy Lynn (Jeff Corsello) Kurta, of Mars, Pa. ; great-grandchildren, Amelia Grace and Lila Monroe; sister, Mary Voytko, of Duquesne; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Lee Leibold; grandson, Thomas Kurta Jr.; and brothers, Michael, Edward and Johnny Dojcak. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory, with a 7:30 p.m. Panahida service. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at St. Michael’s Orthodox Church.

Father George R. Patrick will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
