OBITUARY Helen M Jones July 4, 1924 – November 17, 2018 Helen Jones, age 94, passed away on November 17, 2018 in her home in Bakersfield. Helen was born in Washington Park, Illinois on July 4, 1924. She married Wilson Jones on March 24, 1946 in Cahokia, Illinois.

She lived in Roswell, New Mexico where her husband was stationed at the Airforce Base as an engineer. She moved to Taft in 1948 then later moved to Bakersfield in 1954. She loved the Lord, her family, and her many dogs.

She enjoyed playing golf and bridge. She enjoyed traveling often by ship, plane, and motorhome. Helen is preceded in death by Wilson Jones, her husband of 52 years, Walter, Earle and Charles Allen, her brothers, Marie Palmier, her sister, and Karen Elizabeth Jones, her daughter.

Helen is survived by her daughter Carol Jones Taylor, grandson Anthony Vasconcellos, granddaughter and husband Carrie and Steve Tedder, great grandchildren Amity, Adison, and Anderson Vasconcellos and great grandchildren Daniel, Zachary, and Hannah Tedder, niece and husband Barbara and John Earle and niece and husband Pat and Tom Cygan. A memorial service will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, November 27 at Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to BARC, Bakersfield Association of Retarded Children.
