OBITUARY Helen Maclean Desmond June 3, 1936 – October 3, 2018 Helen MacLean Desmond 83 of Falmouth, Ma, passed away peacefully in Hillsborough, NJ on Wednesday, October 3,2018. She was the beloved mother of Sarah, and her spouse Soraya Simone (Hillsborough, NJ). Thomas Clark Desmond II (Alamosa, CO).

Anna Desmond-Quinzy, and her spouse Mark Quinzy (Clearwater, FL). Sister of Dorothy Cranton (Falmouth, MA),Mary Jane Chisholm (deceased),Elizabeth Anne Phillips (deceased) and brothers; James P. Chisholm Jr. (deceased) and William M. Chisholm(Falmouth, Ma) and Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Helen grew up in Wellesley, Ma and graduated from Tufts University with a Masters in Education.

Helen loved living and experiencing other countries and cultures. She found great joy and purpose in learning and/or helping others. She sought to be her best as a mother, sister, daughter, wife, teacher, friend, volunteer, church and community member.

Her intent was to ease the lives of others whether thru prayer, friendship, humor, music or knowledge. The world is a little dimmer without her presence. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, October 9,2018 at 11:30 am at The Church Of The Messiah, Woods Hole, Ma.

A separate Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Parish in Hillsborough, NJ at a future date.
