Tell City, Indiana Helen N. Pirtle, 86, passed away December 7, 2018 at her home. She was born in Hancock County, Kentucky on August 2, 1932 to the late Robert T. “Tobin” and Artie Mae (Smith) Nugent. Also preceding her in death was her daughter, Marsha Lynn Spencer and two daughters in infancy; her sisters, Nina Siedner, Evelyn Young, Emma Jean Owens, Mary Katherine “Kat” Jackson and brothers, Leonard and Bobby Nugent.

Helen retired from Tell City Chair Company after 19 years and had also worked at General Electric. Surviving are her children, Sherri Kleeman (Therman), Tell City and Jason Pirtle, Owensboro, KY; step sons, Lanny Pirtle (Alice) and Lowry Pirtle (Joyce), both of Owensboro, KY; a sister, Shirley Gray, Louisville, KY; grandchildren, Brandon Kleeman, Damion Kleeman, Tonya Pirtle, Joshua Morrison and Michael Morrison and four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM CST on Monday, December 10, 2018, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in Lewisport Cemetery in Lewisport, Kentucky.

Visitation will be from 2:00 until 6:00 PM on Sunday and from 9:00 AM until service time on Monday. Memorial contributions may be to Kosair Children’s Hospital.
