Obituary for Helen Nancy Fried On Sunday, October 14, 2018, Helen Nancy (Oscar) Fried, a lifelong Washingtonian and a resident of Leisure World, Silver Spring, MD passed away at the age of 91. She was the beloved wife of the late Alvin Fried for almost 60 years. She was the devoted mother of Bruce (Lori) Fried, Dorothy Fried-Baum (Ronald) and Gail Levine, loving sister of Gilda Evans (deceased), loving grandmother of Danielle, Adam, Harrison, Erica, Joel, and Rachel and great-grandmother of Alice and Lucas.

Helen was an alumna from Roosevelt High School in Washington DC. She was an active member in the Jewish community in Hadassah and later in life, Na’amat where she was honored as Woman of the Year. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Judean Memorial Gardens, Olney, MD.
