Obituary for Helen P. Kirby WINCHENDON- Helen P. (Larkin) Kirby, 88, of Winchendon, died Tuesday, October 30, at Heywood Hospital. Helen was born April 4, 1930, in Gardner, daughter of the late Robert and Ella Mae (Cunningham) Larkin. Mrs. Kirby retired from the Fitchburg State College Library.

Prior to that, she worked at Burbank Hospital and AT&T. She loved animals and the New England Patriots. Her strong will and feistiness will be missed.

Her husband, Leo R. Kirby died in 1999. She was also predeceased by two brothers, John and Robert Larkin, and one sister, Barbara Page. She leaves one son, Jason Kirby and his wife, Keo of Gardner; one daughter, Kelly Stacy and her husband, Lawrence of Troy, NH; one grandson, Erik Stacy of Troy, NH; one brother, Edward Larkin; six sisters, Eleanor Gagnon, Florence “Mickey” Bosworth, Jane Valois, Roberta Letendre, Mary Hoyt, and Sandra Plourde; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are private with the assistance of Mack Family Funeral Homes, Lamourexu-Smith & Poliks Chapel, 105 Central St., Gardner. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), 424 E. 92nd St, New York, NY 10128-6804 or www. aspca.org.
