OBITUARY Helen Rangel Newton August 18, 1941 – January 11, 2019 Helen Rangel Newton, 77, passed away January 11, 2019. Helen was born August 18, 1941 in Ferris, TX to Geronimo and Consuelo Rangel. Helen was a devout Catholic, devoted wife, and loving mother.

She lived for her family. She sacrificed her desires so that her children and husband could pursue their passions. She had a passion for sewing and crocheting.

She was so skilled at her craft she often was solicited to create wedding, bridesmaid, and prom dresses. She used these skills to service the Lord and beautify her church. She was proceeded in death by her parents, and sister Mary Moran.

Helen is survived by her husband of 55 years, JT Newton, Jr.; sons, Rodney and Michael; grandchildren, Mattie Francis and Taylor Consuelo of Kentucky; brother, Jerry Rangel and wife, Faye; and a host of nieces and nephews.
