Obituary of Helene Krom Helene Krom (nee Sovyrda), 94, formerly of Manahawkin, NJ, passed away on July 26, 2018. Helene was born in Wilkes Barre, PA on January 1, 1924 to the late Harry and Mary (Kondratick) Sovyrda. Helene was the beloved wife of the late Calvin Krom, Sr. until his passing in 2007.

She was the cherished mother of Cal Krom and his wife Carol and the late Cheryl Krom and the adored grandmother of Jason and Sarah Krom. She was the dear sister of Teddy Sovyrda and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by many siblings.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 3-6pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave. , Woodland Park. A funeral service will begin at 4:30pm.

Burial will be private by the request of the family. Helene was a devoted member of the Bayside Chapel in Barnegat, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to the Bayside Chapel, 965 West Bay Avenue, Barnegat, NJ 08005.
