Harlem, Ga. – Henrietta “Rose” Wells, loving wife to the late Ret. SFC Archie Lee “Al” Wells, and beautiful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away from this earth into eternal peace surrounded by her family at home on January 15, 2019.

Graveside Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 19, 2019, in the South Harlem Memorial Gardens with the Chaplain Dusty Wammack officiating. Mrs. Wells spent all of her adult life as the Matriarch of the Wells family and later as the lunch lady at Harlem High School, not to mention one heck of a Bingo player. Family members left to cherish her memory and to make her proud are her children, Linda Hair (Donald), Diana Hatcher (Brian) and Cheryl Wells; Grandchildren, Keith Hair (Lori), Paul Hair (Sandra), Kara Hawkins (Kevin), Blaire Conner (Mark), Jessica Wells and Irene Brazell; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Wells is preceded in death by her son, Douglas Lee Wells, grandson, Phillip Brian Hatcher and great-grandson Zachary Ryan Hawkins. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Southeast Hospice especially, Corley Gilpen, Hollie Mendricks, Mary Pat Seal, Judy Burkle , Chaplain Dusty Wammack, Dr. Stephen Schmidt and Dr. Michael Friedman. Memorials may be made to the Southeast Hospice, 1203 George C. Wilson Drive, STE A, Augusta, GA 30909 Pallbearers will be grandsons.
