Obituary for Henry Floyd “H.F.” Strickland Farmville……………………. Henry Floyd “H.F.” Strickland Jr., age 82, died Tuesday, December 11, 2018. Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, December 15, at 2:00 P.M. at the Farmville Funeral Home Chapel by Rev.

Daylon Mooneyham and Rev. Brad Powers. Interment will follow in Hollywood Cemetery in Farmville.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Mr. Strickland was member of Greenville Church of God. He loved and served his church on the Pastor’s Council and as an usher.

He was retired from many years of farming and also owned and managed his own rental properties. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Floyd Strickland; parents, Henry Floyd and Mildred Taylor Strickland; and sister, Joyce S. Braxton. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Rose Strickland of the home; daughter, Debbie S. Whitfield and husband, Ricky of Hurdle Mills; son, Mark Strickland and fiancé, Angie Tugwell of Farmville; sisters, Faye Wainwright and Darlene Brann, both of Farmville; brothers, Daniel Strickland, Kenneth Strickland, and Glenn Strickland, all of Farmville; grandchildren, Melissa Smith and husband, Jay, Rich Whitfield and wife, Erica, Ashley Griffin, Alex Strickland, Victoria Baker and husband, Eric; great grandchildren, Taylor and Henry Smith, Skylar Combs, Josie Griffin, Kelsey McGowan, Caleb Baker, Eden Baker, and Daniel Baker.
