Henry J. Trauernicht, 82 years of age, of Lincoln, formerly of Pickrell passed away Friday, December 21, 2018 at Savannah Pines Retirement Community in Lincoln. He was born on November 9, 1936 in Beatrice to John and Emma (Stevens) Trauernicht. Henry graduated from Adams High School and served 6 years in the Army National Guard.

He lived and farmed in the Pickrell area most of his life. Henry was a member of Christ Lutheran Church near Pickrell and a lifelong member of the American Legion Post #27 in Beatrice. He enjoyed hunting, trapping, reading and studying scripture.

Henry is survived by many cousins, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, December 28, 2018 at Christ Lutheran Church near Pickrell with Pastor Heather Brown officiating.

Interment will be in the Evergreen Home Cemetery in Beatrice. The body will lie in state from 9 AM to 8 PM Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice and one hour preceding services at the church on Friday. Memorials are suggested to the family’s choice with Roger Duitsman and Mike Remmers in charge.
