Obituary of Henry Jensen H. Otto Jensen passed away peacefully at home Friday, September 14th, 2018 at the age of 90. His wife, Mary Jensen, was his loving caregiver during the last months of Otto’s mortal journey. He was born August 22nd, 1928 in Royal Oak, Michigan, to Henry & Elizabeth Jensen who emigrated from Austria and Germany in the 1920’s.

He is survived by his wife, Mary, of 27 years, and 11 children and 3 step children: Dan, Tom, Amy, Cassie, Jessie, David, Matthew, Adam, Kim, Peter, Nicholas, and with his wife’s children David, Chris, and John. Otto lived most of his life in Vancouver, Washington since 1961. Otto worked as an electrician and an electrical designer all of his life helping build some of the auto factories in Detroit, Michigan with his father who was also an Electrician.

He later owned his own company and electrically designed and help build many buildings and structures in the Portland and Vancouver areas which still stand today. He loved the Boy Scouts of America and served as a scout leader for several years. Otto was a dog lover all of his life.

As a man of faith in Jesus Christ, he cherished his membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and looked for opportunities to serve and help others every day. He loved to teach God’s Plan of Happiness to inspire others to have happier lives. There are many whose lives were changed for the better because of Otto Jensen.

It can truly be said that he left a legacy of faith. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, September 22nd, at 2pm, at the Hearthwood chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 220 NE Hearthwood Blvd, Vancouver, WA.
