Obituary for Herbert Franklin Cockrell Herbert Franklin Cockrell, age 85, of 5708 Highway 76 South passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at the White Oak Manor in Newberry. He was born in Saluda, SC and was the son of the late Burdett and Annie Mae Obanion Cockrell. Mr. Cockrell is survived by his son Josh Cockrell (Sarah) of Prosperity, SC; two grandsons, Carson Scott Cockrell and Braden Cole Cockrell.

He is predeceased by his wife Evelyn Lever Cockrell and his two daughters, Wanda Jean Cockrell and Donna Gayle Cockrell. Graveside services will be held Saturday, Dec. 29th at 10:00 A.M. at the Hopewell United Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday Evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
