OBITUARY Herman “Koby” Cantu July 28, 1958 – September 11, 2018 Herman “Koby” Cantu went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on July 28, 1958 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Koby was a District Fire Chief in San Antonio for 26 years.

After his retirement from the Fire Department he then coached Girls’ Varsity Basketball for Providence Catholic High School. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who will be greatly missed. Koby is survived by his wife of 35 years, Irene Cantu; his children, Ryan Cantu and his wife, Kelley, Casey Cantu, and Karisa Cantu; his granddaughter, Ryley; his parents, Domingo, Sr. and Eduvina; his siblings Domingo, Jr. and John Cantu; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 17th from 6-9 pm in the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 18th at 10:00 am at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 600 Oblate Dr, San Antonio, TX 78216. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park; 1701 Austin Hwy; San Antonio, TX 78218.
