Herman Nail, 74, of Holly Pond, passed away on April 30, 2019. He was born January 15, 1945, to Leonard and Gussie Mae Bice Nail. Mr. Nail was a man of many talents and skills.

He was a farmer, served our country honorably in the United States Air Force, served the town of Holly Pond for thirty-two years (eight of which as the mayor), and was a father and grandfather. Mr. Nail contributed greatly to the growth and upkeep of Holly Pond. Herman was a member of Holly Pond First Baptist Church as well.

Herman is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Gussie Mae Nail; and a brother, Lawrence Nail. Survivors include his son, Zack (Jennifer) Nail; brother, Norman Nail; and granddaughters, Maggie and Sadie Nail. Graveside services for Mr. Nail will be 11 a.m., Friday, May 3, 2019, in Holly Pond Cemetery, Pastor Caleb Elrod officiating.
