Obituary for Mr. Hershel Ray Austin Austin, Hershel “Hersh” age 82 of Minnetonka, MN left a void in our hearts on August 29, 2018 from complications of cancer treatment. Hersh grew up in the Blytheville, AR area, graduating from Arkansas State University. He had a successful career with Cargill, Inc. During his 38 years with the company, he embraced the opportunity to travel around the world to work and live with his family.
He was a dedicated, loving and supportive husband, Dad, Gpa, and friend. Survived by his forever loving wife, AnnE; son, Mike Austin (Sandy); daughters, Liz Niblock (Don), Chris Williams (Keith); 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; a son and grandchild from a previous marriage; sister Joyce Cotton (Larry). Preceded in death by his parents Buford and Zula Austin; wife, Nancy Rodkey; and his favorite 4-legged doxie, Shotsey.
A Celebration of Life will take place on October 20, 2018 from 2pm-4pm at Rush Creek Golf Club, Maple Grove. Golf attire preferred. Because of the wonderful care he received at Methodist Hospital/Meadowbrook, anyone wishing to give a memorial, please donate to the Park Nicollet Foundation.
