Sebastian, Texas Higinio L. Garza, 85 of Sebastian, TX, entered into rest on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 in Harlingen Medical Center, Harlingen, Texas. He was born on January 10, 1934 to his parents, Antonio and Justina (Lopez) Garza. Higinio proudly served his country in the United States Army.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Juanito, Donaciano and Cruz Garza and sister Jovita Garza. Higinio is survived by his wife of 62 years, Olivia Lamas Garza; daughter, Ofelia (Paul) Schreck, brothers, Amparo (Tina) Garza, Rudy (Mary) Garza; sister Felicita Juarez; grandchildren, Jeffery Dean Taylor, Jr., Christina Jean Meiners; great-grandchildren, Michael, Seth, and Cheyenne Meiners and Adrian Alexander Taylor. Visitation will be held at Duddlesten Funeral Home on Friday, February 15, 2019 with a rosary on Friday at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 8413 Park Ave.

, Lyford, Texas on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Sebastian Guadalupe Cemetery, Sebastian, Texas, with military rites being conducted by the American Legion Post 390. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Duddlesten Funeral Home, 604 W. Hidalgo Ave. , Raymondville, Texas.
