Obituary for Hollis Ann Carey (Hughes) Print Hollis Ann Carey was a wonderful Daughter, Sister, Mother, Grand Mother, and Great Grand Mother. She passed on Saturday January 26th 2019 a few days before her 65th Birthday. She is survived by her husband L Michael Carey, and her three daughters Shannon Moore, Meredith Carey, and Lauren Carey.

She is beloved and remembered by her step children Keith Carey, Scott Carey, Greg Whitney, Sheila Carey, and Erin Carey. Originally from Syracuse New York, Hollis has lived in Houston Texas for several years. Her sister Ann Holmes also lived in Houston and the two were very close.

Hollis had her degree in Hotel Management from Cornell University, but after having children dedicated her time to caring for her family. She loved being surrounded by friends and was a joyous person. A lover of all animals and the color pink, Hollis’s witty attitude will be sorely missed by her loved ones.
