Horace’s Obituary Horace Joseph Rodriguez, a resident of Amite, LA, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2019 at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond, LA. He was born April 16, 1926 in Husser, LA and was 93 years of age. He was a member of Montpelier Baptist Church.

He loved playing bingo, dancing, spending time with family and friends and enjoying the outdoors. He is survived by wife, Barbara Battles Rodriguez; 3 daughter, Shelia M. Negrotto, Wanda G. Campo and husband Joey, Remonia Hayden and husband Nicky; step-children,Carrie Delano, Barry Blades and Jordan Ray Givens; grandchildren, Marvin “P-Wee” Hayden, Jr. and wife Lynn, Mark Hayden and wife Pam, Marlena Roberts and husband Glenn, Micah Catalanotto and wife Jamie and Laura Lee and husband Stephen; step grandchildren, Jessica Henderson and husband Josh, William “Lil Nicky” Hayden and wife Britney, Hardy Hayden, Cady Delano, Caleb Delano, Blake Blades and Hunter Blades; great-grandchildren, Haylee Hayden, Bryce Hayden, Dylan Hayden, Beaux Roberts, McKayla Lee, Mason Lee, Jayde Catalanotto; step- great grandchildren, Claire Stringer, Presleigh Hayden, Cheyenne Hano, Cameron Hano, Chloe Hano, Kayleigh Hayden, Kaylan Hayden, Haylee Hayden and Brantley Gill; great great grandchildren, Jaxson James and Jayce James; 2 sisters, Mary Inez Chesshir and Joyce Ellen Rodriguez; 3 brothers, Morgan Rodriguez, George Rodriguez and Levi Rodriguez, Jr. Preceded in death by first wife, Camille Nickens Rodriguez; parents, Levi and Jennie Rodriguez; siblings, Edward Rodriguez, Helen Rodriguez, J.C. Rodriguez and Herman Rodriguez; 1 granddaughter, Leslie Futrell. Pallbearers will be Micah Catalanotto, Barry Blades, P-Wee Hayden, Mark Hayden, Bryce Hayden and Dylan Hayden.

Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, Friday, May 10, 2019, from 9:00 AM until religious services at 11:00 AM. Services conducted by Bro. Rusty Durand.
