Hugh Carroll Starr, 90, of Weatherford, went home on Sunday, September 16, 2018, in Fort Worth, singing “I’ll Fly Away”. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Hugh was born December 28, 1927, in Throckmorton, Texas to William and Sallie Dee Starr.

He enjoyed coon and deer hunting and his retirement on his farm in Millsap, Texas. Most of all, Hugh will be remembered as a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a great-great-grandfather. He always considered himself to be “blessed”.

Hugh is survived by his loving wife Pat of nearly 69 years; his children, Hugh and Preston Starr and Linda Edgett; 6 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and recently by a great-great grandson; and by his brother, Elmer Starr. Hugh was preceded in death by his parents and by four sisters and two brothers.
