Obituary Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away on May 22, 2019 in Murray, Utah. Iesilika graduated from Queen Salote College in Tonga. She married the love of her life in 1982 in Sydney, Australia and began her life as a Pastor’s wife and mother.
She moved with her family doing ministry for the United Methodist Church in Nevada, California and finally in Utah. She was known for having a beautiful smile, always smiling wherever she went. She loved her husband, and they did everything and went everywhere together.
She loved her children and grandchildren, who were her world, and they loved her, too. She loved her ministry at the Tongan United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, Rev.
Tevita ‘Ofahengaue; children: William (Tupou), Jacintha, Sisilia (Tuitupou), Kelepi Jr. (Chanaramis); grandchildren: Divine Grace, ‘Etimani Jr., ‘Iesilika Mumu Jr., Grayson Cole, and Tevita Jr.; brothers, Pita (NZ) and Sioeli (Tonga); and sisters: Pasini (Aust), Ungatea (AZ), Finau (Aust), Poukei (NZ), and Haisinga (Tonga). She was preceded in death by her parents, Tupou and Hu’avai Malupo; sisters: Tausala, Liliani, and Mele; and brother, Sione Kauvaka. The family would like to thank Intermountain Medical Center Emergency Department and the Tongan United Methodist Church for the care they provided.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at the Tongan United Methodist Church located at 1553 West Crystal Avenue (2590 South), West Valley City, Utah 84119. A visitation will be held on Friday, May 31, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will be at Redwood Memorial Estates.
