Ila M. Kitchen-Hall, 90, of Rock Island, died Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline. Cremation rites accorded. A graveside service will be 2:30 pm Friday, May 10, 2019 at Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island.

Those wishing to attend should meet at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Avenue, Rock Island, by 2 pm. Memorials may be made in care of the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Association. Ila was born in Quincy, Ill.

on June 26, 1928, a daughter of Fred D. and Anna R. House Crose. She married John “Jack” Geisendorfer, with whom she had two children, Susan and John. He preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by her second and third husbands, Ross Kitchen and Kenneth Hall. Ila worked as a waitress for the several local restaurants throughout the Quad Cities. She enjoyed walking and flower gardening.

Ila truly loved the Lord. She was best friends with her granddaughter, Kathryn. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Susan K. Snodgrass, Davenport; granddaughter, Kathryn R. Snodgrass; brother, Robert D. Crose, Quincy, Ill.

; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands, parents, son – John W. Geisendorfer, brothers –Richard, Fred and Frank Crose and sisters – Theresa Houser, Freda Osborn, Dorothy Naderhoff and Hallie Newswander.
