Obituary for Ingrid W. Harris Ingrid W. Harris, 89, of Cheyenne passed away Sept. 29 at the Davis Hospice Center. She was born Sept.
12, 1929 in Berlin, Germany. She married Wiley Harris in 1959 in Berlin and moved to the United States in 1958. In 1963, she became a U.S. Citizen, for which she was most proud.
Over the years she won blue ribbons at the Laramie County Fair as well as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places at the Tanana Valley Fair in Fairbanks, Alaska for her knitting, crocheting and needlepoint. Ingrid knitted afghans and hats for Project Linus and Blankets for Laramie County Kids. She lovingly adopted eight cocker spaniels from abusive situations.
Ingrid is survived by her sister, Renate Schlickeisen of Berlin; nephew, Bobby (Gloria) Thompson of Eden, NC and numerous other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander Wiley Harris. Thank you to the nurses and staff of Davis Hospice Center for the care that was given to her and to Shannon, who went over and beyond the call of duty.
Many thanks to the neighbors for their friendship over the years. Memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel, 1900 E. 19th St., with Chaplain Dan Clark officiating. Donations may be made to the Cheyenne Animal Shelter and Davis Hospice Center.
