Mrs. Irene Buchanan Cagle, 94, of Hardy, AR, formerly of Harmontown, passed away on Friday, July 20, 2018 in Hardy. Mrs. Cagle was born on February 14, 1924 in Tippah County, MS to The Late Myrtle Huddleston and William Homer Buchanan. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Hardy, AR who loved quilting and was a former member of the Harmontown Quilting Club.

She was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother who was a shining beacon for all who knew her and she will be deeply… Read More » missed. Mrs. Cagle leaves behind her loving family which includes her daughters, Janet Meador (Raymond) of Hardy, AR and Bonnie Knight of Mathiston, MS; one sister, Eleanor Kidd (G.W.) of Germantown, TN; three brothers, Clifford Buchanan of Byhalia, MS and Rev. Jimmy Buchanan (Sherril) of Coldwater, MS; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elton Cagle, Sr.; her son, Elton Cagle, Jr.; two brothers, Kenneth Buchanan and Dennis Buchanan; her granddaughter, Sharon Renee Murphy; and her parents. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 2pm in Harmontown Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Pinkerton officiating.

Interment will follow in Harmontown Cemetery. Visitation will be held in the church on Tuesday from 1pm until service time at 2pm.
