Irene Emanuel (nee Dunn), 97, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2018, at the Samaritan Health Center. Irene was born on September 7, 1921 in Monmouth, IL to the late Arthur and Nellie Dunn. She worked hard all her life as a mother and in aviation.

Irene loved to work in her garden and make people happy. She will be missed by all those that knew her. Those that Irene leaves behind to cherish her memory include her son, Rick; four grandchildren, Hannah, Lindsay, Laura, and Angie; and her great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Irene is preceded in death by her sister, Wanita and brothers John and Victor. A private family service will be held at a later date. The family would like to offer a special thank you to all the wonderful staff at the Samaritan for their love and care of Irene.
